9. Performance Measurement & Latency

When you view a server's details, we provide a latency (ping) measurement to help you understand your connection quality.

How it works:

  • Visitor-to-Server Ping: Your browser attempts to measure the round-trip time directly to the RedM/FiveM server. This measurement happens entirely on your device and is not sent to our servers.
  • Server-Side Baseline: Our backend server also performs a measurement from our infrastructure to the target server to provide a fallback baseline.

This measurement does not involve the collection of any personally identifiable information (PII) and is used solely for real-time display.

10. Data Processing & Caching

To provide fast and efficient search results, we use multi-layer caching:

  • Server Data Caching: Public server information is temporarily cached for 30 seconds to ensure rapid response times and prevent service overload.
  • Location Data: We use third-party geolocation services based on a server's public IP address to display its location. We do not geolocate our users.
  • Local Storage: Your Watchlist, performance Snapshots, and search history are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and Snapshots automatically expire after 24 hours.
